β Stars to Know
The Packers have always been built on grit, loyalty, and game-changing stars. Here are the new names carrying that legacy forward.
Jordan Love β Quarterback
Love took over as Green Bayβs starting QB in 2023 after Aaron Rodgers leftβ¦ and he hasnβt looked back.
In his first year, he threw for over 4,000 yards and 32 touchdowns, then led a stunning playoff win over Dallas. Last year, he battled through injury but still showed growth as a leader and playmaker, finishing with over 3,000 passing yards and 25 TDs.
Now in his third year as the starter, Love is focused on consistency, quicker reads, and taking the next step from good⦠to great.
Josh Jacobs β Running Back
The Packers made a splash before last season by adding Jacobs, and he delivered: 1,329 yards and 15 touchdowns on the ground.
Jacobs runs with power and patience. And he gives Green Bay something theyβve been missing: a tough running back who can play almost every snap and tire out defenders.
He could be the heartbeat of the offense in 2025.
Xavier McKinney β Safety
McKinney was another great addition in 2024. The former Giants safety brought instant leadership and playmaking to the Packersβ secondary, finishing with 8 interceptions.
Heβs fast, instinctive, and not afraid to be physical. In 2025, he could be the key for a defense trying to create more turnovers and finish games strong.
π Stories to Watch
The Packers have pieces: young stars, new vets, and a QB on the rise. But now comes the hard part: turning talent into playoff wins.
Hereβs how theyβre planning to do it.
Smart + Tough = Packers Ball
LaFleur has made it clear: 2025, is all about complementary football.
π§ Translation? The offense, defense, and special teams need to work together like pieces of a puzzle.
That means:
Running the ball to control the clock and help the defense stay fresh
Taking smart risks (not wild ones) with Jordan Loveβs big arm
Playing physical on defense, especially in the red zone
If they can do all three? Thatβs how Green Bay turns good plays into winsβ¦ and wins into playoff runs.
That Still Hurts
The Packers were rolling in the regular seasonβ¦ but fizzled out fast in the playoffs, losing 22β10 to the Eagles and QB Jalen Hurts in a sloppy Wild Card game.
Love threw three interceptions. The offense couldnβt find rhythm. And the defense wore down late.
This year? Itβs not just about making the playoffsβ¦ itβs about making noise once they get there.
The Rookie Receiver Who Could Explode
The Packers used their first-round pick on Matthew Golden, a speedy wide receiver who played for the Texas Longhorns in college.
Heβs a big-play threat who could become the go-to deep option. Or at least distract defenders away from fellow receivers Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed.
π₯ This is why Packers fans are so excited.
If Golden plays great, the Packers could score a LOT more points.
Speaking of rookiesβ¦

π Did You Know?
The Green Bay Packers are the only team in American pro sports that is owned by thousands of fans⦠over 500,000 of them!
That means itβs all about making the team better for the fans.
And if you want season tickets? Get in line. (Literally!) There are over 140,000 names on the waiting list, and some fans wait 30 years or more to get their turn. Some families even pass spots down from parents to kids!
Lambeau Field isnβt just a stadium. Itβs a home built by the fans, for the fans.
π Bonus! Green Bay fans are famously known as Cheeseheads. Why cheese? The state of Wisconsin is Americaβs dairy capital, and proud Packers fans started wearing bright yellow foam cheese wedges on their headsβ¦ and never looked back.
Before we wrap, letβs see if you can ace this Packers pop quiz.
π The Super Bowl trophy is named after a famous Packers coach. He helped the team win five championships way back in the 1960s!
π€ Need a hint? If you mix up the letters in his full name, you can spell bold, lead, and calm. Sounds like a great coach!
Thatβs it for today. But tomorrow? Weβve got team #7 with big claws, cool stripesβ¦ and championship dreams.
It just might be who Smallball is running from. π
