No Hoops, No Problem 🚫
Another Friday = another Smallball filled with highlights from this week and games to watch this weekend.
We’re in the break between the WNBA and NBA seasons, so, no 🏀 today.
Let’s start with the…
MLB Playoffs ⚾️
The semifinals (also called the League Championship Series) are moving along. We know who you picked to make the World Series.
Let’s see how you’re doing… starting with the National League!
Dodgers vs. Brewers. We know the Dodgers got off to a 2–0 series lead.
🎥 Want to see who won Game 3?
Now up 3–0, the Dodgers go for the sweep tonight. If the Brewers win, they’ll play again on Saturday.
Over in the American League…
The Mariners also jumped ahead 2–0.
But Wednesday night, the Blue Jays won Game 3, 13–4.
And last night?
🎥 Hit play and see Game 4 for yourself!
Final score: Toronto 8, Mariners 2.
That means it’s now tied 2–2. Game 5 is tonight.
Remember: the Mariners have never even been to the World Series. The team started playing in 1977… so this is a huge deal!
By the way, the Brewers have been to one World Series in 1982… but they lost.
And there are three other MLB teams that have never won a World Series.

Let’s move on to…
College Football Week 8 🎓🏈
Only 11 out of 136 teams are still undefeated. That’s down from 15 last week.
None of them play each other this week…
But we do have five matchups between ranked teams:
#5 Ole Miss (undefeated) at #9 Georgia
#6 Alabama hosts #11 Tennessee
#10 LSU at #17 Vanderbilt
#13 Notre Dame hosts #20 USC
#15 BYU (undefeated) hosts #23 Utah
That last game? An in-state rivalry between colleges that are only 50 miles apart.
BYU won a close game last year, 22–21. And experts say it’s a coin toss this year: 51% chance BYU wins again.
While we wait to see what happens, let’s check in on…
NFL Week 7 👔🏈
Thursday Night Football was the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals.
It was a historic night! The fourth game in NFL history where the starting QBs on both teams were over 40 years old.
Which old guy led his team to a victory?

Rodgers beat Flacco in age, 41–40. But Flacco won the scoreboard, 33–31.
A great start to a weekend with four matchups that look even better on paper:
Rams (4–2) vs. Jaguars (4–2) in London
Eagles (4–2) at Vikings (3–2)
Colts (5–1) at Chargers (4–2)
Buccaneers (5–1) at Lions (4–2) on Monday Night Football
As usual, we’ll keep an eye on everything and bring you the highlights on Tuesday!
Have a great weekend, and we’ll see you on Tuesday!
