Two Truths and a Lie 🙃
Yesterday’s baseball story got us thinking about wild cards.
And wild cards remind us of UNO.
And since it’s Friday… want to play a game? 🎲
We’ll give you three things that happened yesterday. Two are true. One’s a lie.
Ready?
1️⃣ 🏈 In the NFL, the Green Bay Packers won last night to go 2–0 on the season… and it was their seventh straight win at home against the Washington Commanders.
2️⃣ 🏀 On the last day of the WNBA regular season, the Las Vegas Aces won to lock in the #2 seed for the playoffs… and became the first team in league history to finish the season on a 16-game winning streak.
3️⃣ 🏈 In the only college football game last night, North Carolina State beat Wake Forest 34–24. The play of the game? An NC State cornerback had a 100-yard pick-six. (That’s an interception returned for a touchdown by the defense!)
Which is a lie?
Make your guess… then watch the highlights to see if you nailed it.
1️⃣ Seven Straight at Lambeau? 🧀
The Packers are 2–0… and Lambeau Field is still a haunted house for the Commanders.
Is it fact… or the fib?
🎥 Watch the highlights here! (Because it’s the NFL, you’ll have to click “Watch on YouTube.” Grrr!)
2️⃣ Aces Can’t Lose? 🃏
The Aces are the #2 seed for the playoffs… and have won an incredible 16 games in a row.
Truth or lie?
🎥 Check out this fourth quarter!
3️⃣ 100 Yards to Score? 🐺
A cornerback for the NC State Wolfpack snagged an interception in the end zone… and ran it all the way back 100 yards for a touchdown.
Epic. But is it true?
🎥 See for yourself!
Drumroll please… 🥁
The lie was the 100-yard cornerback pick six.
Truth is, it was a 280-pound defensive lineman grabbing it and rumbling to the end zone.
How cool is that? That’s a wild card we didn’t see coming.
Game over for today. See you tomorrow!
