Red, White, and... Gold? 🏆
The fireworks are fading… but we’ve got one last question before the Fourth of July fun ends!
Did Team Red, White, and Blue win the Gold Cup?
Let’s find out… and see what other surprises we’ve got in store for today! ⬇️
1️⃣ One Kick to Win It All ⚽
Last night, it all came down to this: the United States vs. Mexico in the Gold Cup final.
These two teams know each other well.
They’ve played more than 70 times since their first match in 1934. And when a trophy’s on the line? The pressure cranks up to 100.
Team USA was looking to bounce back after losing in the semis in 2023. Mexico was trying to win its second Gold Cup in a row.
🎥 Watch to see who lifted the trophy.
2️⃣ What’s Next for Team USA? 🥈
Mexico’s the one celebrating this time…
But for Team USA, the countdown to something even bigger has already begun.
Last night was the final competitive match they’ll play before next summer’s World Cup.
And while this Gold Cup squad was packed with rising stars, one name was noticeably missing: Christian Pulisic.
Pulisic didn’t play in the Gold Cup to recover after a long season with his club team, AC Milan.
But when he's on the squad? He’s a difference-maker.
Nicknamed “Captain America,” Pulisic brings creativity, leadership, and elite scoring.
Expect him to be fully healthy and leading the charge when the World Cup kicks off next summer!

3️⃣ Splashball Is Real?! 💦⚾
Smallballers have the best ideas.
When we asked how to best mix sports with water, Jake had the answer:
“Baseball but the ball is a water balloon. When you hit it, if it splashes the pitcher it’s an automatic home run. If it doesn’t, it’s an out!"
Honestly? We’d watch that.
But while we wait for Jake to step up to the plate and make Splashball™ official, we went hunting for videos.
And of course, we found it in the one place where chaos is always part of the game… Banana Ball!
🎥 Ready to see what happens when you mix bats and balloons?
More soccer, more stars, and maybe a few more splashy surprises coming your way soon.
See you tomorrow, Smallballers!
