When we last checked in on Euro 2025, the semifinals were locked in.
First: England vs. Italy with a spot in the final on the line.
Italy hadn’t made it this far in almost 30 years. England, the champs from last time, were playing with pride.

Italy struck first. England tied it up. And then, just before it looked like we were headed to penalty kicks… Chloe Kelly pounced on a rebound in the 119th minute to send her team to the final.
Let’s just say: the Lionesses are still alive. 🦁
(By the way… why’s that England’s nickname? Their team logo has three lions, and the players wear it with pride.)
2️⃣ Who Takes the Last Ticket? 🎟️
Who will England face in the final? The winner of Spain vs. Germany.
Germany’s been here before. They’ve won this tournament a record eight times.
But Spain? They’ve never even made the final.

This one was tight all the way through. And then, in the 113th minute of extra time, Aitana Bonmatí curled in a beauty to break the tie and make history.
Yes, for the first time ever, Spain is headed to the Euro final.
They’re trying to keep the momentum going after winning the 2023 World Cup.
It was also their first World Cup. 🌍🏆
And who did they beat?
England.

Last week, we watched the MLB All-Star Game end with an electric swing-off.
Since? Baseball hasn’t cooled off one bit.

A few nights ago, the Phillies beat the Red Sox in the most wild way possible: catcher’s interference.
Hold on… what even is catcher’s interference? 🧠
It happens when the catcher sticks their glove too far forward and the batter’s swing hits it. When the umpire calls it, the batter gets to go to first.

🥶 Rockies Snap a Cold Streak
The Colorado Rockies still have the worst record in baseball.
But yesterday? They did something good.
They shut out the St. Louis Cardinals 6–0… their first shutout win in 220 games.
The Rockies are the only MLB team since 1901 to go more than 200 games without a shutout victory.
What did Colorado coach Warren Schaeffer say after the game?
“That's a long time without a shutout. But I'm glad we shut them out today.”
