LET’S GO SPORTS WEEKEND! 🎉
No secret messages today, just one clear signal: Week 1 is here.
Ready for college football?
1️⃣ Boise Blue 💙
The best game on paper last night?
#25 Boise State vs. South Florida. The Broncos were the only ranked team in action.
If this were a Boise home game, we’d tell you to get your eyes ready for a whole lot of blue.
But they were on the road. And now they’re heading home feeling blue.
South Florida Bulls 34, Boise State Broncos 7.
🎥 Want to see the Bulls try a fake punt?
That was just about the only play worth watching in this blowout!
2️⃣ Paper vs. Popcorn 🍿
Sometimes the matchup that looks best on paper doesn’t actually deliver.
But last night? The drama came in Kansas City. Nebraska and Cincinnati squared off at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Chiefs.
(Yes, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were in the crowd.)
From that picture, you know Cincinnati took a 3–0 lead.
🎥 Hit play to see if they held on!
Final score: Nebraska 20, Cincinnati 17.
Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola looked calm under the bright lights, throwing for two touchdowns and leading a late drive that kept his team ahead.
And when the Bearcats tried to steal it back? Nebraska’s defense came up with a clutch interception in the end zone.
Great start for Nebraska!
3️⃣ Friday Feast 🍔
What’s on the menu as Week 1 continues tonight?
There are 11 more games, but two stand out. Experts say both are even, so each team has about a 50% chance to win.
First up: Auburn at Baylor.
Auburn has been stuck in the mud with four straight losing seasons. But there’s real buzz that this year could finally be different.
A big reason? Wide receiver Cam Coleman.
He came in last year as one of the nation’s top recruits. And with 8 touchdowns in 2024, he wasted no time showing why. He’s 6’3” with big-time speed and leaping ability.
So the matchup to watch tonight is Coleman against a Baylor defense that struggled all last season.
A great early-season test for both programs.
Then it’s Georgia Tech at Colorado.
The Buffs are in the national spotlight again. Coach Deion Sanders (aka Coach Prime) is starting quarterback Kaidon Salter. He transferred from Liberty, where he racked up nearly 6,000 passing yards.
Georgia Tech brings a different energy. Veteran QB Haynes King is back. He almost beat Georgia in eight overtimes last year. And he’s the kind of steady leader who can win on the road.
Tonight’s storyline? Will Colorado’s fresh energy be enough, or will Georgia Tech’s proven veterans steal the win on the road?
And while all of that college football was happening… MLB and the NFL got in on the action.
In baseball, Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber went deep not once, not twice, not three times… but four times in one night.
🎥 Watch him become just the 21st player in MLB history to pull that off.
And over in the NFL? One of the best defenders in the league, Micah Parsons, got traded from the Dallas Cowboys to the Green Bay Packers.
Fake punts, last-minute interceptions, monster homers, blockbuster trades… all in one night. LET’S GO SPORTS WEEKEND! 🎇
