Yesterday was the Women’s Euro 2025 Final. England vs. Spain.
We’ve followed this one all month long: From group-stage surprises to quarterfinal chaos to semi-final showdowns.
And now?

Did you catch that weird first penalty kick for England?
It was a little confusing.
Bethany Mead’s shot went in… but then the referee said it didn’t count.
Why? Because when she kicked the ball, her other foot accidentally touched it too. And the rules say you’re only allowed to kick the ball once. So she had to take the shot again. And this time, the goalie saved it!
But England didn’t give up and still won the shootout!
Now… they’re the champions of Europe! 🏆 Again!
This was the 14th time the Women’s Euro tournament has been played. It started way back in 1994! And now England has gone back-to-back, winning in both 2022 and 2025.
Even cooler? They got payback after Spain beat them in the 2023 World Cup final.
Only one other team had ever won this tournament two times in a row: Germany. They were so good, they won six times in a row from 1995 to 2013!
So yeah… what England just did? Super impressive.
